I've been going to the English pit for almost 3 years now. My first experience was just as awesome as my most recent 3 years later. The range masters there are very friendly and professional. (Especially Gerald! 👍) Very knowledgeable. And are willing to help and show firearm knowledge and safety whenever needed to newer shooters. The atmosphere there is very friendly amongst The range Masters and other shooters. This is the only place I go in the surrounding Vancouver / Portland metro area. Thanks again to Gerald/Robert/Brian/Steve. For always making it safe and fun 👍

Stopped by the pit to pour down some steel rain and was blown away by how clean the range is now, compared to the past. Not sure if the place is under new management or if they brought in an all star crew to work the range but the changes over the last few months are incredible. They have implemented new safety protocols and are working very hard to keep the range clean. I was very impressed. Gerald is a great guy , always positive and upbeat and you can tell he’s passionate about the Second amendment and takes his job seriously (in a good way). Kudos to Gerald and Robert and how great the range looked on 7/31! Great range , great price , highly recommended

Love this place. It is so nice to have a place to go shoot that doesn’t require a yearly membership costing $$$. The folks that were shooting there when I was there were always friendly. The atmosphere here seems to be relaxed yet safe. It is organized but not so much that it feels uncomfortably rigid. The volunteer staff that work there have been fantastic to work with. I’ve worked with Gerald often and he was always so friendly and helpful. I really appreciate the services this place provide for the general public.

Had a great time shooting my rifle there today. They've put some common sense and easy to use safety measures in place. The rangemaster was clearly attentive but friendly. It's a great alternative to trying to get into an expensive gun club (good luck) and a heck of a lot safer than shooting in the Yacolt Burn State Forest.

This range is just so solid. It's remarkably clean, has and follows clear safety protocols, and there is a great manager (Gerald--awesome guy, and great range manager). All of this keeps us coming back. The atmosphere is always pleasant professionalism, and just a nice, relaxing time. Also, the trees here smell so great! Love it.

We had a great time at the range today. The attendant, I think his name was Gerald, was so friendly and helpful. He helped us with a couple issues we had with our rifles. The price is very reasonable. Would recommend as long as you do not have any mobility issues.

This is our go-to place for range shooting. The range is always organized and well-kept. The staff, including Gareld and Brian, are really helpful with explaining/enforcing the range safety rules and providing guidance with any firearm related questions we have had. I absolutely recommend The English Pit if you are a new or experienced shooter. They have pistol, shotgun, and various rifle ranges to choose from. The rates are great, but the value of all the staff experience and advice is truly priceless.
